In Lithuania, 172 people were confirmed infected with the new coronavir last day, as well as one new death with Covid-19 was announced, the Ministry of Health announced on Thursday.
This is the highest number of infections detected in a single day in Lithuania since the beginning of the Covid-19 epidemic.
A total of 4,956 people have been diagnosed with the virus in the country, and 2,466 people have been confirmed for recovery.
6424 analyzes were performed last day, thus 2.7% of tests were positive. A total of 788,384 analyzes were performed in Lithuania.
One death from the new coronavirus disease Covid-19 was reported last day.
As a result, 93 people died of Covid-19 in Lithuania, but another 19 of those infected with the virus had a different cause of death.
