Dave’s husband, Patrick Loiseau, also interviewed by our colleagues, explained that Dave had fallen into their house in the 16th arrondissement of Paris around 4 p.m. on January 25. “I didn’t understand why, but Dave had the sudden need to make a machine to wash jeans”, he remembered. As the 77-year-old star walked upstairs with the damp laundry, he “heard a loud noise” : “I went into the living room. He was there, lying on the ground, inert. I thought he was dead“, told the one who shares the life of the singer. Distraught, the lyricist immediately contacted the emergency room, noting that the singer’s head had “hit the ground” and that he had “two broken vertebrae”.
Loss of memory, smell and taste, driving ban, armada of doctors…
Taken to Percy Military Hospital, Dave is remained in a coma pendant “four or five days” because of a cerebral hemorrhage. “He had suffered such head trauma that his prognosis was uncertain”, added Patrick Loiseau. Although he must regularly consult this armada of doctors, Dave needs someone to drive him to his appointments: “I do not have not allowed to drive for the next six months. Other than that, I’m fine.”he specified.
Dave will be back on stage “end of April”
Following his accident, the Dutch artist was forced to cancel several concerts that were scheduled from February. “At the end of April I will go on stage”, he said in his interview. “I think I still know my songs. I didn’t try because my voice is a bit muffled. But for me, being on stage is nirvana.” he assured. This is something to reassure his fans!
