A rare late 13th-century Roman painting for Boston

10/9/21 – Acquisition – Boston, Museum of Fine Arts – Carried away for $ 1,470,000 (free of charge) during the Christie’s sale on April 22 in New York, an exceptional Roman panel dating from the third quarter of the 13th century joined the collection of Italian paintings at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston . From the famous Alana collection, it was among the seventy-five masterpieces of Italian painting by the spouses Alvaro Saieh and Ana Guzmán exhibited at the Jacquemart-André museum from September 13, 2019 to January 20, 2020.
