Students are called to assemble in front of the CROUS headquarters this Thursday in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon.
The appointment is fixed at noon, at the call of several unions, including the UNEF and the CGT, who demand “decent housing and living conditions for all“.
“Since the onset of the health crisis, student insecurity has grown more and more, and with it the housing crisis worsens. Thousands of popular students find themselves isolated in small and sometimes unsanitary accommodation, as is the case in many university residences“, explains the intersyndicale.
The demonstrators demand the opening of the rooms available in the residences of Lyon and St Etienne, the construction and renovation of new residences without increasing rents, the increase in number and amount of scholarships, but also their opening on social criteria to foreign students.
