A rally of supporters of President Michel Aoun began in front of the presidential palace, before his departure from Baabda, one day before the end of his presidential term, which began on 31 October 2016.
At 11:30 am, President Aoun will leave his office, greet the senior officials, then a Republican Guard battalion will greet him and Lebanese army music, national anthem and honor guard performance will be played, after which the president will head to a special platform in front of the citizens attending Farewell and deliver a speech on the occasion. After that, Aoun leaves in the presidential car, Baabda Palace, heading towards Rabieh.
