MILAN – AC Milan put themselves in a better starting position ahead of the return leg at the San Siro with a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur thanks to Brahim Diaz’s seventh-minute goal. Rematches are scheduled for Wednesday, March 8.
Tottenham arrived at the San Siro without several injured players, so youngsters Oliver Skipp and Pape Matar Sarr appeared in the midfield. The injured captain Hugo Lloris did not play either, who was replaced in goal by Fraser Forster.
