For a few weeks now, a construction made of blue pipes has been attracting astonished looks in the Sanderau district of Würzburg. The pipes lead a few meters above the Theodor-Heuss-Damm, approximately at the level of the Stettiner-Straße junction, then over the Mainwiesen and then disappear into the Main. The area where the pipes lead into the water is blocked off with construction fences. What looks bizarre is an important measure for a nearby construction project. The beginning of the pipes is on a piece of land between Friedrich-Spee- and Königsberger Straße.
