A puppy found by police in Dallas next to a dumpster confused the authorities about whether it was a dog or a wolf, in a funny incident that sparked interest in the US state of Texas.
And the police decided to seek the help of experts in the animal world, to determine the identity of the small animal.
Indeed, Dallas Animal Services said it would conduct a DNA test to determine if the puppy the police found was a dog or a wolf.
And the company confirmed in a Facebook post that the Dallas Police Department found the puppy, which is called “Toast”, next to a garbage container, noting that it was “not sure of its identity.”
Jackie Sutherland, an official at the company that sponsors Toast, said the puppy would be available for adoption if it turned out to be a local dog.
