An interesting case begins in Plovdiv. The defendant is EAM from the city under the hills, learn Plovdiv24.bg. He is accused of the crime referred to in article 131, paragraph 1, point 12, read with art. BAA minor bodily injury, resulting in traumatic arthritis of the left temporomandibular joint and partial fracture of the crown of the lower left sixth tooth, for hooliganism.
The injured BAA worked as a public transport driver in Plovdiv. On 10.28.2022 he was at the last stop of the route, which was on “Kalina” street in “Stolipinovo” district, where he stopped to stay on an island built on “Kalina” street near “Krayrechna” street. The driver was alone in the bus, which had the engine running and the doors closed. The victim took a 2-3 minute break and waited for the train conductor who got off at the penultimate stop.
At the same time sub. EAM was talking on the phone near the bus and after finishing his call he knocked on the front door of the bus.
The victim opened the door, inviting the defendant, mistaking him for a passenger. However, the moment the defendant got on the bus, he shouted at the driver because he was stopping at the indicated spot. As the victim apologized, the defendant started hitting him in the face, then grabbed him by the hands and dragged him down the stairs from the bus.
He pushed the victim to the ground and started hitting him in the face with his hands and feet. As soon as the defendant stopped with the unprovoked physical assault, the victim got up and entered the bus, closing the front door, and the EAM deputy tried to open it again.
To protect himself, the BAA police officer called 112, as the father of the EAM police officer also arrived at the scene, who also behaved aggressively and threateningly. The case is scheduled for a hearing on the merits on January 11.
