A public bus plunges into a residential site and 8 people are injured Tokyo Machida | NHK Metro Area News

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the details of the incident, as the bus driver said he had lost his memory due to anemia.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, around 20:20 on the 18th, a Kanagawa public bus Chuo Kotsu broke the fence of the house at the end of the T-junction in Nogaya, Machida City, Tokyo, and crashed into the premises .
In the crash, seven passengers, including a 10-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl, and the driver were taken to hospital.
The scene was a residential area about 1km north of Tsurukawa Station on the Odakyu Odawara Line, and according to the investigation, the driver said, “I had anemia and lost my memory.”
The Metropolitan Police Department will analyze the video from the driving recorder installed on the bus to investigate the detailed cause of the accident.
Four years ago, a bus operated by Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu was involved in a rear-end collision in which a high school student died in Yokohama. A report was released last year.
