A prototype of the future Dacia Bigster SUV was photographed in Prague

So far, the Romanian car manufacturer Dacia has shown the concept of the future Bigster model only in official photos. This time, a prototype of the Romanian SUV was caught completely undamaged on a street in the Holešovice region, north of Prague.

The vehicle was presented by the official importer of the domestic brand to a small group of journalists and dealer representatives. Participants were not allowed to photograph the car. However, the Bigster was photographed within minutes of the unloading operation in front of the location where the event took place.

The concept that foreshadows the future of the Bigster The series was unveiled a year ago. According to the information provided by Dacia officials, the serial version will not be much different compared to this one.

The future C-segment SUV will measure approximately 4.6 meters and will be positioned in the range above the current Duster. In terms of size, it can be compared to Land Rover Discovery Sport and Volkswagen Tiguan.

In contrast, the Romanian model will cost much less, however, and will be close to the Volkswagen T-Roc. At the same time, the Romanian manufacturer says that the new SUV will have a very spacious interior. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

Bigster will be developed on the CMF-B platform, which means it will receive a wide range of powertrains. So, will only receive hybrid engines with powers up to 280 hp. An interesting aesthetic detail is that the bumpers on the underside of the body will be made of recycled plastic.

The prototype captured in the Czech capital is personalized in a shade of dark green that seems to be the same as in the official photos. The new Y-shaped light signature is also noticeable. The SUV impresses with its rugged body and square lines.

The future Dacia Bigster will be released in late 2024 or early 2025 at the latest.
