The prototype of the Ford Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 electric racing car rode on the race track for the first few meters only on the rear wheels. He completed a quarter-mile (402 m) run in 8.27 seconds, reaching a speed of 270 km / h.

Ford Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 is a prototype of a racing electric car with an output of 1400 hp (1044 kW) and a torque of 1490 Nm. The Cobra Jet builds on the prototype Mustang Lithium (900 hp) that Ford unveiled at SEMA in Las Vegas last year. The goal of Ford engineers is to test their latest technologies for racing electric cars.
Ford is still silent about further steps in the field of racing and super-powerful electric cars. However, we hope that the tests performed will soon lead to the emergence of Ford electric supersport.
