Al-Nasr is the first Saudi team to qualify for the 2023-2024 AFC Champions League final
The first football team of the Saudi Al-Nasr Club officially reserved its qualification ticket to the 16th round of the AFC Champions League, before playing its match against Persepolis on Monday evening.
Al-Nasr will host Persepolis, at nine o’clock in the evening today – Mecca time -, in the 5th round of Group 5 matches in the 2023-2024 AFC Champions League competition.
Al-Alamy qualified to the 16th Asian final; It came after Al-Sharjah of the Emirates stumbled against Al-Sadd of Qatar, with two unanswered goals, a short while ago, in the second group competitions.
With Sharjah stumbling against Al Sadd, Al Nasr Club was officially guaranteed to be one of the best clubs in second place in the Al Gharb region groups – at least -.
AFC regulations stipulate that the winners of the five groups in the Western Region qualify for the quarter-finals, in addition to the three best second-placed teams.
With Al-Nasr’s first football team having 12 points from 4 matches, it officially qualified as one of the best second-place finishers, had it not reached the eighth final as “leading.”
