One of the largest chemical plants south of Russia “Combine Kamensky” (Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov region), which is associated with the production of ammunition, there was an explosion followed by fire.

This is reported by the Rostov portal 161.ru.

“Around 20:00 (July 29), a fire broke out in one of the workshops of the enterprise, which was eliminated as soon as possible by the fire safety system and the arrived fire brigade … No harmful emissions were released into the atmosphere,” the enterprise said in a statement.

As a result of the fire, seven people were hospitalized with burns to their bodies.

As it became known to the Baza edition, six hospitalized in a local hospital revealed 100 percent of chemical burns to the body, another victim – 80 percent.

According to a 161.RU source in the authorities, employees of the enterprise received burns after an explosion during repairs in a polymer production workshop.

According to the official website of the enterprise, “Kamensky Combine” produces “the most important chemical products for solving problems of national importance, strengthening the country’s defense capability.” One of the largest contracts of “Kamenskoye” is the supply of classified items for the scientific and production association “Splav” named after Ganichev, which produces multiple launch rocket systems “Grad”, “Smerch”, “Uragan”.
