A violent earthquake shook Romania, we also felt it in Bulgaria.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 on the Richter scale was registered in Romania, the European Seismological Center informed. The quake was 5 km deep. The epicenter was 21 km from the town of Targu Jiu.
The earthquake was also felt in our country – Ruse, Sofia. Residents of Ruse reported to NOVINI.BG that the earthquake was felt weakly. There are no reports of damage.
However, NOVINI.BG learned that the earthquake was felt quite strongly in Sofia. Even business buildings were evacuated.
Seismologists from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences reported a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter scale.
