Dubai shows other links between Vinod and Gautam in the elegant waterfront towers of Palm Jumeirah, where there are addresses for financial companies collaborating with the “Adani Group” and other subsidiaries of “Vinod”.
On the 36th floor of one of the towers there is an office, which one of the employees said is for the Vinod family, and its plates bear 3 names outside it, which are “Emerging Market Investment DMCC” and “RVG Exim DMCC”. and Adani Global Investment DMCC.
The Emerging Market Investment website includes information that Vinod is the promoter of the company, which in India refers to founders and owners.
The Hindenburg report mentioned the names of the three companies, and that they are among dozens of shell entities established in offshore tax havens.
Emerging Market Investments was the subject of a high-profile controversy between the group and Hindenburg, which said the firm lent another listed subsidiary of the group $1 billion, and the research firm questioned the source of the funds.
The Adani Group denied the research firm’s claims as “untrue” and that the money was not borrowed.
