Today it’s Sunday. A weekly day of rest, which we keep on Sunday, is a command and a gift from God. We dedicate this day especially to the service of God. In addition, Sunday for Christians is also a weekly echo of Easter Sunday, on which Jesus Christ rose from the dead. Reasons for us not to update our site today.
Tomorrow we would like to bring you up to date with the daily events, with backgrounds, comments and opinion articles. As you are used to from us.
Word on Sunday
suffering time (6)
“And behold, two men
spoke with Him, which were Moses and Elijah.”
Lukas 9:30
Moses and Elijah, the law and the prophets, return to earth for a moment to speak with the Lord Jesus about the work He must accomplish. In Him and in the way He will go, of suffering, death and resurrection on the third day, all that has been foretold will be fulfilled. It is as if the representatives of the Old Testament point the finger at Him here and say: This is He. “We have waited for him, and he will save us” (Isa. 25:9).
