Popular American actor Roger E. Mosley, best known for his role as helicopter pilot Theodore “TC” Calvin in the cult series Magnum PI, has died. After a serious car accident, he ended up in serious condition and paralyzed from the neck down. He died Sunday in a Los Angeles hospital surrounded by his family.
Popular American actor Roger E. Mosley died on Sunday at the age of 83 after suffering serious injuries in a car accident. He ended up in serious condition and paralyzed from the neck down. “He was surrounded by family when he passed peacefully into another world,” she said on Facebook the actor’s daughter.
“No one could mourn such a wonderful person. He would hate to cry in his name. It’s time to celebrate the legacy he left us all,” she added. Mosley was best known for his role as Theodore “TC” Calvin on the Magnum PI series
In this role, he filmed alongside fellow actor Tom Selleck for eight long years. However, before filming, he expected the series to end quickly because, according to his manager, series with Selleck go bankrupt quickly, the website reported Sky News.
Fellow actor Richard Brooks also remembered him. “Today we lost another great actor and legend. I really enjoyed working with Roger,” Brooks wrote on Sunday at his twitter account.
In addition to the role of a helicopter pilot, Mosley also played in the series Walker, Texas Ranger, in the serial adaptation of the film Robocop or in the film Letters from a Murderer. He also appeared in the Mohammad Ali biopic The Greatest.
