A policeman was injured yesterday while trying to intervene in a fight of two Roma groups in Dupnitsa. The police officer is in hospital without serious injuries. Two people were detained in the case.
This was announced by the spokesperson of the Regional Police Directorate in Kyustendil Katya Tabachka, quoted by BNR.
The incident happened after midnight in the Roma neighborhood “Gizdova mahala” in Dupnitsa. The signal for the fight was given by eyewitnesses on tel. 112.
“40 people fought on a domestic basis. Two people were detained. He was hit in the head with a blunt object and a colleague who was placed in a health facility. Pre-trial proceedings were instituted in the case, the duty prosecutor was notified,” Tabachka said.
