The wife of the resigned Minister of the Interior, Boyko Rashkov, had an accident near the metro station “GM Dimitrov” in the capital.
The accident happened in the early afternoon, and Rashkov himself arrived immediately at the scene of the road accident to assist his wife.
She was not injured, the Ministry of the Interior reported.
The driver of the other car, a Volkswagen Golf, caused the impact. And ironically, he is subordinate to Boyko Rashkov.
A policeman from Smolyan ran a red light and that’s how the accident with the minister’s wife happened, “24 Chasa” learned. He was probably confused by the green traffic light, which, however, is for the other section – only for the turn to the right from “Dragan Tsankov” Blvd. to “G.M. Dimitrov” Blvd.
However, the police officer with the golf went straight and thus hit Rashkova’s jeep, which was moving along “G.M. Dimitrov”.
Mrs. Rashkova, who is a notary, drives a white BMW. Photos uploaded to the public television website show that the front grille of the luxury car was damaged.
The officer also escaped without injury. The collision did not take place at high speed, as can be seen from the minor damage to the cars. Both drivers were tested immediately for alcohol and drugs, they did not use.
