A police check goes wrong in Niort, police officers attacked

A police check goes badly on Friday evening May 7 in Niort, in Deux Sèvres, shortly before 9 p.m. Two brothers aged 28 and 30 refuse a police check. Finally, arrested ten minutes later, the driver had a positive blood alcohol level (0.56 g). The latter had already been convicted in October for drunk driving.

His brother, passenger in the car, lashes out at one of the policemen and hits him. He managed to grab hold of the tear gas canister which he sprayed on the police.

Their custody has been extended. They should be presented this Sunday, May 9 to a magistrate.
