Start of the noisy proms in Plovdiv. Minutes after 6 pm today, the peace and quiet in the city gave way to a symphony of horns, vuvuzelas, shouts and the traditional counting from 1 to 12 on the streets, writes “Maritsa“.
The evening is for the high school graduates from PGO “Anna May” and the Vocational High School of Home Appliances. They made a spectacular procession along the main boulevards and moved to the place of celebration, namely the Trimontium Hotel.
As expected, the high school graduates bet on shiny cars, most of them BMW. Several girls were escorted on powerful motorcycles, spinning tires and smoking. Jeeps, which in previous years were among the preferences of high school graduates, were also rarely seen. The points were stolen by a high school graduate who was brought to the ball with a tractor.
A party was swirling at the prom. Boys and girls danced, sang, shouted, inflated vuvuzelas, took pictures and, of course, counted from 1 to 12. Their companions, including brothers, sisters, parents, grandparents, also invited them.
The festive outfits showed that the seniors definitely have good taste. The long-backed dresses were a hit among the prom girls. The choice was in the light pastel range – pale pink, rose ash, ecru and champagne. Black was almost absent. The girls managed to show moderation and leave a little for the imagination. The hairstyle preferred by the prom girls was a bun.
The young people traditionally opted for suits in the dark range, mainly in black and blue, combined with a bow tie, less often with a tie.
The mood has reached its peak, and the seniors are anxiously awaiting the memorable evening and the upcoming entertainment.
The police are on alert and exercised increased control. Patrols are everywhere and the organization is up to standard. It is impressive that there are almost no high school graduates who show up through the hatches or hang on the windows of cars. However, this is what their companions do.
The balls in Plovdiv continue in the coming days.
