Winter sports are becoming increasingly popular in Hungary. First in the capital, and then in recent years in the countryside, plastic ski slopes are being built. Now, within the framework of the National Ski Slope Construction Program, the Hungarian Association of Ski Instructors has built a ski slope in Szokolya for 75 million forints, which can be used almost at all times of the year.
The mayor of the settlement said: their goal is for every child living in Szokolya to learn to ski. Csilla Némethné Pintér pointed out: the settlement has a long history of skiing and ski instruction, as several famous Hungarian ski instructors living abroad started their careers here, which is why they were happy when ski instructor László Szabó approached the municipality of the settlement with the idea that they would like to create a plastic ski slope here. .
At the event, Bence Rétvári, member of parliament, spoke about the fact that plastic courses imitating snowy slopes are becoming more and more popular here, especially among children, but adults also have the opportunity to enjoy the opportunities offered by sports at all times of the year. He emphasized: the weather of the past years did not allow a sufficient amount of snow to fall in Hungary, the conditions were not right for skiing. With the creation of these tracks, it is possible to learn winter sports in autumn and spring with more pleasant temperatures, says the representative.
Rétvári added: this ski course not only gives the locals the opportunity to learn to ski, but it is also a good opportunity for people living in the neighboring settlement and those who want to go on trips and do sports to have fun.
