A delegation of businessmen from the Republic of Latvia will stay in Benin on April 18 and 19, 2023. This visit is part of an initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Benin (CCI Benin) in collaboration with the Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Exports (APIEx). The objective is to strengthen trade between the two countries and promote investment in various sectors.
Several business sectors will be represented by Latvian investors. These include digitalized medical equipment, ICT solutions such as fleet and fuel tracking software, customer record management, wooden poles, agricultural sciences, medicine, food products and decorative lighting. . A B to B meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 19, 2023 between the delegation of Latvian businessmen and Beninese entrepreneurs.
Latvia is a member country of the European Union located in Northern Europe. The macroeconomic indicators of this country are generally positive and the Latvian economy is mainly driven by the service sector, which contributes 64% of the GDP and employs 69% of the working population. Thanks to its attractive tax regulations, Latvia has developed a large financial services sector. Transport and ICT are also important activities for the country’s economy, contributing respectively to 7.3% and more than 8% of the GDP.
This visit by the delegation of Latvian businessmen will be an opportunity for Beninese companies to discuss and develop partnerships with economic players from the European Union. The participation of Beninese entrepreneurs in this B to B meeting is therefore strongly encouraged.
