With the approach of the E3 period and the holding of a Microsoft conference, in the company of Bethesda, we expected to review some of the big licenses put forward by the American giant, including A Plague Tale: Requiem . A making-of during the Tribeca Games Spotlight, gameplay during the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase and, finally, a livestream organized by Focus Entertainment. The highlight of this summer communication: a release date has been revealed!
La cavale d’Amicia and Hugo continue!
Since the Game Awards ceremony, during which A Plague Tale : Requiem passed a headwe longed to discover the sequel concocted by the French studio Asobo. The time of innocence may be far away for Amicia and Hugo, but perhaps not that of critical success which could equal, or even surpass, that of the first part released in May 2019, more than three years ago. .
Today was therefore a great day for the franchise – which by the way will have the right to a dedicated book at Third Editions and at A TV series — since Focus Entertainment, the game publisher, had given us an appointment for a big announcement around the release date, a subject already mentioned last March in our columns.
The release date is finally known!
Let’s get rid of the very good news of the day right away: we finally know the release date of the sequel to A Plague Tale : Innocenceand you won’t have to wait long to get your hands on it. Starting this fall, on October 18 on PC, Switch (Cloud version), PS5 and Xbox Series X|S (with, as a bonus, Day One inclusion in the Game Pass Console, PC and Cloud), you will find Amicia and Hugo for the rest of their adventures: pre-orders open today. If you are wondering what awaits our siblings in this second installment, the French studio Asobo has once again spoiled you with a new gameplay sequence, to be found at the top of the article!
In the space of twelve minutes of gameplay, we can see that the recklessness of the duo will quickly give way to the dangers they are both trying to flee, and the video very quickly puts all this in scene, in particular with a sequence of infiltration under high voltage. Beyond the gameplay, we can also appreciate the work of the Microsoft Flight Simulator studio on the rendering of cinematics and on-board technologies since this suite will benefit from ray tracing and DLSS from NVIDIA. A Plague Tale: Requiem will dazzle our fall, no doubt about it!
