Jonnie Irwin chose not to tell the children about his cancer
In an attention-grabbing interview with the Daily Mail, the television personality told that he and his wife made a decision not to tell their children that he was dying of cancer.
Instead, they wanted to focus on the kids getting as much time with Jonnie as they could.
“At the moment I’m me, a thinner version, there’s no need to tell them. I think it will be a lot for them to take in,” he says.
“I do my best to bury my head in the sand because what’s the point of spending your days thinking about cancer when there’s gas costs to worry about. The cost of living is a concern because I won’t witness it, but my family will”.
In recent times, Jonnie has told us that he has been feeling increasingly worse.
A short time ago, the doctors announced that he only had a couple of months to live.
