As yesterday in Bulgaria, IA “CROSS” was the first to report, two extremely valuable paintings were stolen from the National Art Gallery in Athens, one of which is the canvas by Pablo Picasso, entitled “Head of a Woman”, the Macedonian “Vecher” reports today.
The theft took place on the last day of an exhibition titled “Unknown Treasures”, which also featured works by Durer and Rembrandt. The Picasso painting was gifted to the gallery in the 1940s.
