The exhibition “No houses without people, not people without home” can be visited in San Martín de la Vega from 15 October to 12 November. It is a tour of several photographs to make the residents aware of the people who do not have a roof over their head. According to the latest survey by the National Statistics Institute (INE) on the subject, published in 2012, there are almost 23,000 homeless people in Spain. New data on an issue that has not been updated for more than ten years is expected to be released on October 19.
The inauguration of the exhibition will take place on Saturday 15, at 18:00. The Cultural Civic Center in Calle del Maestro Rodrigo will thus host a discussion with the representatives of the Platform for people affected by mortgages (PHA), a social movement for the right to housing.
