Macky Sall’s government has been documented for serious human rights violations, repression of dissent and weakening of democratic processes in Senegal.
In addition, there are serious concerns about economic mismanagement and manipulation of financial data. Reports indicate that Sall’s government has been repeatedly providing inflated economic numbers to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), raising questions about the accuracy of Senegal’s financial reports and the true state of its economy.

These actions not only threaten Senegal’s financial integrity, but also hinder sustainable development and increase poverty levels. The distortion of economic data can have far-reaching effects, affecting foreign investment and economic policy decisions that affect the lives of ordinary Senegalese citizens.

These actions go against the values of open dialogue, human rights and democracy that this conference wants to protect. Allowing President Sall to participate would damage the integrity of the conference and would mean permission for a leadership that stops its own citizens.

We urge the organizers to ban Macky Sall from the conference. By doing this, you will demonstrate your commitment to justice and accountability, fostering a more meaningful conversation about Africa’s future.

Sincerely,

Oumoul Diallo (Visitor)
