An employee was seriously injured in a work accident at the Tako factory in Tampere.
The employee’s foot was crushed between the rollers of the horizontal conveyor during maintenance work. The accident happened at Metsä Group’s Tako cardboard factory on Friday evening.
A conveyor is used to transport factory products or materials from one place to another.
The rest of the factory’s staff reported the matter to the emergency center, and with the help of the rescue service, the worker was removed from the conveyor.
First aid was responsible for treatment procedures on site and transported the seriously injured employee to further treatment.
