A collision between a subway train and a person halted the operation of the subway on line B on Monday, May 6, around 6:30 p.m. The incident occurred in the section between the Smíchovské nádraží and Florenc stations.
“A traffic accident, a collision between a subway train and a person happened at the Anděl station,” confirmed on its website the Transport Company of the Capital City of Prague, stating that due to the incident, operational measures are in place and the subway is standing still in the mentioned section.

According to the spokesperson of the Medical Ambulance Service, Mr. City of Prague Jana Poštová was intervened on the spot by a crew of rescuers with a doctor. “They discovered that the person suffered injuries incompatible with life,” stated the spokeswoman.
Traffic stopped in the Smíchovské nádraží – Florenc section, and a police investigation of the incident was underway.

In the section Florenc – Černý most and Smíchovské nádraží – Zličín, metro service was maintained, services ran at regular intervals outside the timetable. Passengers were told to use ground lines at the point of traffic stop.
Traffic was restored before eight o’clock in the evening.
