The rarest modification of the GAZ-2140 sedan, whose factory index is 23-34, is for sale in Russia.
Unofficially, this model is called “catching up” – a nickname that the car received thanks to its work for the Soviet special services for which it was created.
This modification is equipped with a V8 engine with 195 hp, which is also mounted on the cult “Seagull”. The owner wants 5.9 million rubles (about 99,500 euros) for the rare version of the Volga.
The ad states only five kilometers, and the condition of the car can be defined as perfect.
According to the seller, however, this is the result of a quality and thorough restoration, which has returned the car to its factory condition.

A total of 244 copies of the KGB “catch-up car” were created: the car was on the assembly line from 1985 to 1993. According to the plan, this model does not differ visually from the ordinary “Volga”. The main difference is in the transmission and dynamics.
The car is equipped with an automatic transmission, which is disguised as an ordinary manual – even left three pedals, and in the engine compartment, along with the standard 2.4-liter, is placed V8 engine with 195 horsepower.
