Chief freelance specialist of the Ministry of Health for infectious diseases Vladimir Chulanov said that a person with coronavirus infection usually remains infectious for 10 to 20 days after symptom onset, but in rare cases may remain a carrier for up to two months.
At the same time, he noted that in this case the person cannot be regarded as “infectious dangerous”, reports TASS.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health reported that in 90 percent of cases, the body temperature characteristic of COVID-19 patients rises to 37.5 degrees, and the most frequent symptoms are cough, shortness of breath, headache, less often a sore throat, as well as weakness and fatigue. In addition, the sense of smell may be lacking.
