A passenger plane crashed on Lake Victoria in Tanzania during a storm and heavy rain. The plane was flying to the city of Bukoba. The crash occurred during a landing attempt, state television reported.

According to initial information, 15 people were extracted alive, but it is unclear how many people were on board. Attempts to rescue the remaining passengers continue. Rescue teams with boats were sent to the lake.
