A parrot prevented from watching TV because of its long tongue | Mix

Ammon – A foul-tongued parrot has been banned from watching TV because he can’t stop spouting obscenities he picked up from action movie characters.

According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, the African gray parrot, Louie, often starts a “loud fit of swearing” around customers where he lives in Sheffield, England.

His owner, Andy Ashby, says the five-and-a-half-year-old parrot’s vocabulary has become high-pitched and awkward and he is trying new ways to stop him from using abusive language, by communicating with his customers instead of letting him watch TV.

Andy, 50, explained the parrot’s embarrassment in front of customers, saying, “Louis yells, says hi, and then two okay words come out of his mouth,” before uttering an out-of-order word and ranting about repeating an expletive the whole time, which gets me in trouble.

Andy explained that he tried to get the parrot to stop, but it did not work, repeating, “The more I tell him, the worse he gets, and he will let out all the good he hears from his mouth,” so that it becomes difficult to stop him.

The parrot Louie tweets and makes a sound similar to taking a picture on a mobile phone. He also used to copy the sounds made by the baby’s toys after his stay in the home of a family with a baby.

Andy had put him upstairs with the TV playing action movies, now he’s moved him downstairs and put up a tape warning customers not to swear in front of him, hoping his language will improve.
