At the Paléo we find international headliners, such as Sting and Angèle. But the festival also welcomes artists from Geneva, such as the DJ duo Ramin&Reda and Flèche Love. For both of them, this concert has a very special flavor.
For Amina, alias Flèche Love, singing at Paléo is a bit like playing at home: “Of course there will be people I know in the audience. Already there will be my mother, and I think I will have acquaintances, friends… So it’s great. But it’s also intimidating to play for people we know, and who know us,” she says. This is his first date at Paléo as part of his Flèche Love project.
“I’m too happy, it’s going to be magic”
On the same day, two Geneva DJs also play at Paléo for the first time: they form the duo Remin&Reda. But it is also their last date in pairs: The two artists will then mix each on their side. The moment is particularly emotionally charged. During the soundcheck, Reda shows his arm to Remin: “I have goosebumps, man!”. “I’m too happy, it’s going to be magical” replies his friend.
A festival like no other
For the DJs as for the singer, playing at Paléo has a very special flavor: “What’s great about Paléo is that it’s the only festival I’ve been to as a festival-goer,” says Flèche Love. For Ramin&Reda, mixing at Paléo is synonymous with accomplishment: “Paléo was clearly the goal, and we achieved it. So we are going to celebrate our journey thanks to this date,” smiles Ramin Salem.
Success at the rendezvous for Geneva artists
During the show of the two DJs, the public gradually arrives in front of the Belleville stage. Despite the hour – 5 p.m. – the spectators are enthusiastic. A little later, under the Club Tent, Flèche Love’s concert was also a success, and the singer was thrilled when she left the stage: “Frankly the audience was very touching, it was very moving. It’s a wonderful concert!” she exclaims, her eyes shining. If the headliners attract crowds to Paléo, the Geneva artists also seem to have found their audience.
