MONTREAL – US prosecutors question for formal authorization to offer a plea deal to Quebecer accused of sending poison to previous President Donald Trump.

Attorney Michael Friedman told the Washington court docket that a draft plea deal experienced been reviewed with Pascale Ferrier’s attorneys.

Even so, it needs acceptance from the Office of Justice’s Homeland Security Division prior to it can formally present the deal.

The plea offer would handle the three counts the Longueuil woman faces in Washington DC and the 16 federal counts she faces in Texas.

Pascale Ferrier, detained in a Washington area jail, is accused of sending envelopes that contains ricin poison to the White Dwelling and many legislation enforcement businesses in Texas in 2020.

He will have to go back again to courtroom on September 28th.
