On Thursday 27 October, at the end of the afternoon, the mayor, Marc Barbaux, and some local elected officials welcomed seven health workers into the hall of the city council. Together, they formalized this project and the purchase of the land by these health workers from the municipality of Chantraine.
A totally private project
This purchase act is very important, both for the professionals who see their project materialize, and for the elected officials and the entire population of Chantrain, happy and content with the idea of setting up a medical center in their municipality.
Indeed, the latest retirements of local doctors have given way to a medical wasteland in the city. Of course, this situation is very widespread in France. However, it was crucial to work on it and it is this will that paid off, particularly that of Jean-Daniel Boxberger who worked tirelessly to see the success of this project, to have a nursing home in Chantraine.
Seven health workers
At this stage, the house will welcome three speech therapists who have decided to leave Golbey to come to Chantraine, a nurse who is simply changing location, an orthoptist who comes from Épinal and two new doctors who will start their professional careers in Chantraine, including that of them is native.
Construction is expected to begin shortly with the desired installation in the fourth quarter of 2023.
