The Taliban have now seized control of Kandahar and the strategically located city of Ghazni, on the road to the capital, Kabul.
Some Britons are reported to have secretly smuggled into Afghanistan to join the ranks of the Taliban.

“Terrorist phone calls with British accents have been intercepted,” a senior military intelligence official was quoted as saying The Sun.

The intelligence official added: “We have received several wiretaps of two British men, probably under 30, talking openly on cell phones. One of them has a London accent, which you can call a street accent.”
