The vehicle was stationary when the accident occurred. According to the first elements of the investigation, the pedestrian had slipped between two vehicles in order to cross the avenue.
The van started while she was below her passenger compartment, out of the driver’s field of vision. Several witnesses witnessed the scene.
Ongoing investigation
The nonagenarian, taken care of by the Samu, was rushed to the Hospital Center of the Basque Coast. His vital prognosis was engaged when he arrived at the hospital and is still this Thursday, March 31.
