The case is updated.

The entertainment group Flott Gjort, which is behind a number of bars and restaurants in Oslo, is now history. It reports both Today’s business and Finansavisen.

Large parts of the group are declared bankrupt. It includes the top companies Flott Gjort and Flott Fond 1.

The founders Runar Eggesvik and Arnt Andersen have been the largest owners, together with, among others, investor and Selvaag heir Tharald Nustad.

Last year, Flott Gjort launched big plans for its investment in restaurants and nightlife, but things have not gone as planned.

According to a letter sent out to the shareholders, the system is both insolvent and illiquid, writes DN. Around 60 million has been spent on building the portfolio, and the system has 50 million in external debt, according to the newspaper.

Eggesvik and Andersen have a long history in the Norwegian nightlife and catering industry. Before the Flott Gjort venture, the two have helped start up meeting places such as Øyafestivalen, Kulturhuset, Café Mono, Youngs, Sukkerbiten, Prindsens Hage, Brygg and Laboratoriet på Skøyen.
