A New York – Paris plane almost crashes at Roissy-CDG | News

The tragedy was narrowly avoided. During one of the 5 daily Air France flights connecting New York to Paris this Tuesday morning, the Boeing 777-300ER no longer responded to the pilots’ commands. Having become uncontrollable and with reduced vision due to bad weather, the plane almost crashed at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle.

A few tens of meters above the ground, when the plane no longer reacted, the crew managed to go around urgently to climb back up and avoid the worst. A recording of the conversation between the two pilots, the crew and the control tower brings the scene to life… and sends chills down my spine. The alarm sounds, followed by a “stop, stop! from the pilot, then a “I’ll call you back”. The plane was then overpowered, pitching up and climbing at full speed, causing the passengers a major fright but leaving them unharmed. An investigation will be launched by the company to understand what happened.
