A new work by Banksy was stolen the day before in London yesterday, his fourth in four days, just an hour after the mysterious graffiti artist was given credit for it.
As usual, the famous street artist from the British city of Bristol posted a picture of his new work on Instagram shortly after noon on Thursday, showing a wolf drawn on a satellite dish mounted on the top.
But an hour later, witnesses saw men plucking the piece in the Peckham area, in the south of the capital, and taking it with them.
One of them, Tom Kilo, told Britain’s PA news agency that he saw “three men,” who had “a ladder with them.” One man was on the roof and the other two were watching the stairs.”
London police explained that they were called to intervene because of a “model satellite dish containing artwork” shortly before 2pm local time.
She said that she was investigating the case, noting that she had not arrested anyone so far in this case.

This is the fourth work in four days that the artist has painted on the streets of the capital, which is unusual for Banksy, who usually ends his murals with -time difference of weeks or even months.
On Monday, graffiti depicting a goat appeared on a wall in Richmond, west London.
The next day, another work signed by Banksy appeared, showing two elephants sticking their trunks out of two closed windows on one of the facades in the upper Chelsea area. On Wednesday, three monkeys appeared, swimming and clinging to a railway bridge in Shoreditch, east of the capital.
These artistic representations of animals raised a lot of speculation about their meaning, because some saw it as a reference to the climate crisis, while others linked it to the Olympic Games or the war in Gaza.
Some wondered about a possible connection with the far-reaching riots that the United Kingdom has seen in recent days, as the artist has been defending refugee cases again.
Banksy’s works, which sell for millions of dollars at auctions, arouse the desire of many.
In December in London, men took a traffic sign with three combat drones painted on it and fled under the lens of the onlookers’ cameras.
