According to the site, when sending photos or videos to contacts, users will have three options related to file compression (size) to select from:

> Automatic and recommended: where WhatsApp will detect the best algorithm for image optimization
> Data saving: where it will be possible to spend less internet with shipping
The exception is that soon, after testing, the new function will be released for both Android and iOS users regardless of whether they are registered in the beta version or not.
