THQ Vikinglike promisedhe did traditional broadcasting Digital displayand part of it was the story of working on a remake of the cult role-playing game Gothic. The company released an overview trailer, in which they first talked about the setting and plot of the game.
The story of the game begins in the Old Camp in the Mine Valley. The empire, at war with the orcs, needs resources to supply its forces, so that all those guilty of crimes, no matter how serious, are exiled to the mines. And so that no one would be able to escape, the valley was covered with a magical dome.
The developers called the main pillars of the remake: a living world, its investigation, plot and combat system will be as close as possible to the original 2001 version. The players will have the greatest freedom, and it will be possible for us to decide for ourselves which problems we will deal with. And the game will answer all our decisions.
The creators of the remake are also making several improvements both in the appearance of the game and in several mechanic. This includes, for example, a more comprehensive crafting system, a more diverse range of NPC activities, and hero progression.
Gothic 1 new appear on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, but the release date is still unknown. The game is also going to be presented at the show Games for 2024which will be held from 21 to 25 August.
