It’s no secret that the STALKER series is extremely popular among domestic gamers. Dozens of books, hundreds of fan art are dedicated to her, the first part of the franchise and plot additions for it are still loved by fans. Therefore, it is not surprising that the announcement of a direct sequel made fans of virtual entertainment freeze in anticipation of a miracle. Not long ago, a new trailer for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl appeared online.
The video was shown during the broadcast of PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted. The video itself is dedicated to the plot of the project. The trailer, which lasts almost two and a half minutes, covers some cut scenes from the upcoming blockbuster, and also gives a look at the characters of the game – Faust, Skif, Tramp, Dalin and Korshunov.
Another fact is no less interesting. The shooter from GSC Game World earned the Most Anticipated Game award. Moreover, he received it from a truly authoritative jury consisting of 70 people. Among them are such eminent personalities as Tim Shafer and Sid Meier.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is created on the powerful Unreal Engine 5 and should be released in the first quarter of 2024. Owners of Xbox Series S/X and PC will be able to enjoy the action movie. There is no word on a PlayStation 5 port.
Those who want to play something similar to the STALKER series should pay attention to the horror game Pine Harbor. The project from the Russian team will enter Steam Early Access in mid-December 2023.
