A developer has created a new tool that allows Apple users to change their iPhone’s system font to iOS 16 without having to jailbreak their phones. Over the years, according to MacRumors, Apple has increased the level of customization that iPhone users have access to. One thing they can’t change is the system-wide character of the iPhone.
According to this report, developer Zhuowei Zhang exploited a vulnerability in earlier versions of iOS 16 to create a system-level font changing tool for iPhone, and to use this tool and change iPhone system-level font, you need to run iOS 16.1.2 or earlier according to the report, as Zhang used a patched vulnerability in iOS 16.2.
Also, to check which version your iPhone is running, go to Settings > General > About, then look for the version listed as iOS version.
And last weekend, Apple stopped signing iOS 16.1.2, which means that if users are running iOS 16.2, they can’t downgrade. The report added that the tool is available as a tool on GitHub. The file is an IPA and allows users to choose from different fonts such as Comic Sans MS, Fira Sans and DejaVu Sans Mono.
