The Great Wall Concern has announced plans to introduce a new car brand to the Russian market. The Tank sub-brand will be launched in Russia by the end of 2022, he reports “Autostat” with reference to the Chinese car manufacturer.
Two models will be presented in Russia, Tank 300 and Tank 500, each of which is built on the development platform of the Great Wall. It is claimed that the models will receive gasoline engines: a 220-horsepower 2-liter turbocharged engine and a 299-horsepower naturally aspirated 3-liter V6, which are combined with 8- and 9-speed automatic transmissions. All-wheel drive declared with rear and front cross locking differentials, as well as a wide range of electronic driving assistants.
The first of the Tank brand in Russia is scheduled for November 2022 and the start of sales of the Tank 300 and Tank 500 is expected in the first half of 2023. The cost of the cars in the Russian market has not yet been named. Recall that in Russia the concern of the Great Wall is already represented by the GWM and Haval brands.
