SQUAT – According to the prefecture, six people have been placed in administrative detention
A new evacuation of a squat took place on Tuesday, at Montpellier (Hérault). This time, on Avenue de Toulouse, the police intervened in the early morning to dislodge 17 adults of Georgian nationality.
According to the services of the prefecture of the Herault, six of them, who were in an irregular situation, were placed in administrative detention.

“This expulsion comes within the framework of the execution of a court decision served on the occupants by way of bailiff, after granting of the assistance of the police force by the prefect of Hérault”, indicates the prefecture.
Monday, in this squat, a search carried out in the context of a case of theft and concealment, had led to the arrest of “several individuals”. The evacuation of this Wednesday morning “took place without incident”, assures the prefecture.
