The Lamborghini Urus proved once again how powerful this SUV is. The Italian machine set a new ice speed record at Lake Baikal in southern Siberia. This deepest lake in the world was the scene of a real show of strength.
Mighty Super SUV
The impressive ride was recorded during the “Days of Speed” event organized by the LAV racing company. The Italian super SUV achieved an incredible speed of 298 km / h on ice, which is just 4 km / h less than the maximum speed achieved during test runs.
The Lamborghini wheel was driven by the 18-time record holder of this event, Andrey Leonteyev. The SUV in his hands also set several other records, including the fastest 1,000 meters from a standing start. Over this distance, he achieved an average speed of 114 km / h.
Lamborghini says the data was recorded by both the FIA and the Russian Automobile Federation. They will be officially released in April, but the Italian company is already very excited about the achievements today.
Lamborghini is proud
– This extreme challenge proves once again that the Urus Super SUV delivers the inherent performance expected of a Lamborghini. We have acceleration, top speed, and handling to tackle every road. Highway, off-road, or even ice – Lamborghini CEO for Eastern Europe said Konstantin Sychev.
When there is flat asphalt under the wheels of the Lamborghini, not ice, it is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.6 seconds. It reaches the speed of 200 km / h in 12.8 seconds, and the maximum speed is 305 km / h.
All thanks to the 4-liter V8 twin-turbo engine. It produces 650 hp at 6,000 rpm and 850 Nm of torque.
